HI!
My mission on Colorful Craft Corner is to inspire and share easy and budget-friendly DIY and crafts ideas that anyone can make with a few supplies and a little time.
My name is Paula. I am a mother to a lovely boy, a partner to a handsome and smart man, and a former special ed teacher in her late twenties.
If you’re looking for home decor inspiration, upcycle and refashion ideas or cute printables, then you are at the right place. It is important to me that the crafts I do to be cheap, easy to make, high quality looking, and useful.
Since I can remember, I draw, paint, knit, sew, or make something creative. I’ve always liked to create something with my hands. I was a child when I started knitting and sewing clothes for my dolls. I once even made a birdhouse. (I cut my leg with the saw, and the birds couldn’t fit, but it was colorful and gorgeous. We kept it on a tree in our yard for years.)
I tried a lot of techniques in almost every area (drawing, home decor, jewelry making, sewing, etc.). I like to experiment with new materials and methods. Everything I know about crafts and techniques I learned by trial and error, from Pinterest, craft blogs, and Youtube tutorials.
The quality of my work increased piece by piece. I learned tricks and hacks to make them more beautiful. I’ve made wall art, bags, clothes, jewelry for myself, for friends, family, and also people in my town.
There were periods in my life when I stopped making crafts. But after a short amount of time, I returned to the crafty life. I can’t imagine my life without it.
I started this blog because I wanted to share my ideas, DIYs, crafts, and printable decor and to inspire others to get crafty. I will do my best to present these ideas in tutorials and step-by-step guides, with templates and patterns so you can achieve the same or even better results.
Welcome to my blog, and let’s get CRAFTY!
